I’ve been considering running a few SomeryC-related contests (template design, plugin design, tutorials, et cetera), but I want to know how many people would be interested in entering.

I’d like to give away “tangible” prizes (gift cards, freshly-baked cookies, online vouchers), but I can only do so if I have enough entries to make the contest worthwhile.

Please cast your vote (if you aren’t registered, go ahead and do it—it won’t take but a few minutes), and if you’re so inclined, post a reply describing the types of contests you’d like to see.

In case you hadn't noticed, my last few comics have been pretty depressing. I'm going through some tough stuff in my life right now, and I find that putting it down on (digital) paper really seems to help me out.

Personally, I think it's a refreshing change of pace, but I'll try to start "bringing the funny" here shortly. Jack of All Blades is having it's 100th comic anniversary, and I made them a gift comic. As soon as it goes up over there, I'll post it here, and that should bring a smile to your face.

Since I started working this summer, I've found myself tapping into my creative side more and more. I've gotten to work with a lot of 3D modeling in Maya, and I'm really enjoying it. It's a good thing for me, but a bad thing for my current college major.

I'm sure everything will work out in the end, but until it does, I'll just listen to a bunch of Nick Drake and Damien Rice and sniffle sobs back.
